Kia Racing / Kinetic Motorsports

Challenge 

Kia's official race team, Kinetic Motorsports, was launching a line of aftermarket performance parts into Kia dealerships–a business model familiar to the industry. We had to help Kia dealers embrace this new revenue stream.

 

Solution 

We attacked the assignment on many fronts. We designed the race team's brand, hyped their wins, built dealer and consumer websites, and marketed the program to both dealers and consumers. We also helped develop product, pricing, and sales strategies.

Results

Kia Motors America was a big believer in our strategy. They hosted Kinetic Accessories at annual dealer shows, readily endorsed the program as a valuable dealer revenue stream, and became a partner in promoting cause-related products to benefit breast cancer research.

 

At its peak, Kinetic sold to 350 of 775 Kia dealers and reached $1.6m in annual sales.
